Beading by the Lake

This past Saturday my family and I took a trip to the beach along Lake Huron. It was so peaceful; the water was so clear. I immediately felt the impulse to create, to tell the story, as I looked at all of the stones that had been polished and shaped by the lake over the years. And so that’s what I did. I pulled out my bag and I began to make pendant after pendant. The possibilities were as endless as the number of stones on the beach. And then as if the day couldn’t get any better, I had the honour of being able to save a man’s life who was stuck on a raft floating out towards the middle of the lake. This was a good day.
